MIPCOM 2017 selected the first co-production between Sky and Amazon US, Britannia, for its World Premiere TV Screening during the festival, held from October 16-19, in Cannes, France. The screening is scheduled for October 16 in the Palais des Festivals. The nine-part drama is set in 43 AD, at a time when Britannia was a country governed by Druids and warrior queens. The drama follows the reluctant alliance between Kerra and her arch rival Queen Antedia. Britannia will broadcast on Sky Atlantic in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, and Austria. The series will become available through Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. in 2018.
