Sir Lenny Henry’s Douglas Road Productions has acquired the broadcast rights to My Name is Leon, the debut novel from Kit de Waal published in 2016. The production company intends to turn the novel into a film for television. My Name is Leon is set in Britain in the 1980s, following a nine-year-old boy who unexpectedly finds a new family.
