Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) has closed a deal with Turner for the acquisition of truTV in the U.K. As part of the agreement, SPT maintains full ownership and operation, in the U.K., of the channel and its company. SPTN will also be taking a selection of truTV’s existing content library of acquired series including Snapped, Paranormal Survivor, and Ink Master, among others. truTV’s ad sales will proceed to be represented by Turner, and Sky Media will proceed to sell advertising for other Sony channels.
