Independent U.K.-based distributor DCD Rights has signed a range of deals for four-part crime thriller Deep Water and the second season of thriller The Code. Set to premiere on SBS Australia this autumn, Deep Water, a drama about a crime wave against gay men in Sydney’s coastal communities during the 80s and 90s, will make its U.K. debut on BBC Four later this year. RLJ Entertainment picked up North American rights, and the series will premiere in the U.S. in November. As part of the deal, BBC Four and RLJ Entertainment’s Acorn TV have also acquired the second season of Playmaker’s hit political thriller The Code, which has sold to over 60 territories.
