The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences released this year’s nominations today. Brazil received the most nods, with seven nominations (including Alexandre Nero of Globo TV’s Rules of the Game for best actor and Grazi Massafera of Hidden Truths for best actress.) In addition, Judi Dench and Dustin Hoffman were nominated for their roles in TV movie Roald Dahl’s Esio Trio for BBC One, which chronicles an older man who tries to woo his neighbor who is preoccupied with her pet tortoise. Germany took home five nominations, including two for Naked Among Wolves, an adaptation of Bruno Apitz’s novel about people in a concentration camp who try to save a young Jew.
