Scripps Networks Interactive has expanded Food Network into Mexico. The culinary lifestyle channel launched earlier this month in high-definition on Totalplay Donde Sea, channel 226. Food Network, which started in the U.S. in 1993, features series such as cooking competition Cutthroat Kitchen, hosted by Alton Brown; Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, which follows host Guy Fieri on a cross-country road trip as he visits some of America’s classic diners; and Chopped, a cooking competition show that is all about skill, speed and ingenuity. Food Network is now available in over 150 million households across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. Today, the channel is distributed in both standard and high definition via two individual feeds, Spanish and Portuguese, reaching approximately eight million homes across Latin America.
