Emerging Toronto-based distribution company United Front Entertainment (UFE) has landed a deal with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment for future acquisitions for UFE gain DVD and Blu-ray distribution to retail locations across Canada. UPHE will take on manufacturing and distribution of the UFE titles for the next three years. The initial slate of titles for United Front include their recent acquisition of five Black Fawn Films titles; which was completed during the Fantasia Frontieres Market. The first official DVD/Blu-ray release for UFE will be BITE, which hits retail locations on September 6.
