UKTV has picked up RTÉ comedy series Bridget & Eamon, which debuted on RTÉ2 in February. The deal marks the first time an RTÉ fully funded comedy will air in the U.K. The six-episode sitcom is set in the 1980s, and stars Jennifer Zamparelli as aspirational housewife Bridget and Bernard O’Shea as her hapless husband Eamon. The couple lives together with their many children, but Bridget wants a more luxurious lifestyle. Bridget & Eamon will air on Gold, UKTV’s comedy channel, this autumn.
