The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for the 2016 News & Current Affairs categories. Winners will be revealed in New York on September 21. The International Emmy winners will be recognized alongside their American news and documentary peers. The 8 nominees include Al Jazeera’s coverage of the Nepal earthquake, Sky News’ report on the migration crisis, RT News’ special coverage of the UNGA, Globo’s report on the connection of microcephaly and Zika, among other investigations from Al Jazeera English, the U.K.’s ITN, Germany’s ARD, and Brazil’s Globo News.
