Tessa Ross and Juliette Howell, who have worked together on projects including Billy Elliot, Slumdog Millionaire and The Last King of Scotland, have launched of their new London-based production company, House Productions. The new independent kicks off in partnership with BBC Worldwide and Access Entertainment, part of U.S. industrialist Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries. Ross and Howell will serve as joint CEOs, working across the company’s slate of television and feature films. BBC has a 25% stake, which sees the BBC’s commercial and international arm as global distributor for House’s content slate. Access will have a first-look deal to develop and finance feature films.
