The 23rd edition of Asia TV Forum, to be held on December 7-9 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, is expected to welcome more than 4,000 trade professionals from leading platforms, studios, and agencies from 60 countries and regions.
The Senior Minister of State from Singapore’s Ministry of Communications and Information will deliver the welcome address at the opening ceremony on December 7, while opening day will shine the spotlight on Korea, where insights from the following executives of top Korean platforms and studios will be offered: CJ ENM’s Spencer Thomas, Global Content Strategy; DITURN’s Wonwoo Park, CEO & Chief Creator; KT Studio Genie’s Chul Yeon Kim (Kate), CEO; SLL’s Kyung Moon Jung, CEO; TVING’s Jay Yang, CEO; Wavve’s Lee Tae-hyun, CEO.
In anticipation of ad-tiers that will be rolling out on some of the world’s main streaming services, ATF will be presenting a keynote exclusive by Tony Gunnarsson, principal analyst, TV, Video & Advertising at Omdia.
ATF will also be bringing in financiers Dr. Thomas Kingston, director of Coherent Media Group, Phil McKenzie, COO of Goldfinch, and Eric Collins, CEO & founding member of Impact X Capital Partners, who will be speaking on new financing models and money matters behind content production.
Targeted at producers, the inaugural Lab Series will be looking at formats and documentaries; this is also the first time the Format Recognition and Protection Association (FRAPA) will present its Formats Lab for Asian producers under the new ATF Lab Series banner.
A total of 383 submissions were received for ATF’s 6 pitches. In addition, the new Indonesian Pitch (in partnership with Vidio) and the Thai Pitch (with Warner Bros. Discovery) garnered submissions that exceeded expectations.
ATF is part of the Singapore Media Festival (SMF) hosted by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
