Argentina mourns the passing of Juan Carlos Copes, the world’s most famous tanguero, who passed away at the age of 89.

Copes and his long-time partner, Maria Nieves, enchanted the theaters of the world with mesmerizing tango dance routines. The love-hate relationship between Copes and Nieves is reflected in the movie Our Last Tango.
