Mondo TV scored new sales for its environmentally themed kids’ series MeteoHeroes.
MeteoHeroes has been picked up by Canal+ for its kids’ channel Piwi+ covering France and French-speaking territories, excluding Canada. The adventure-comedy series will start airing during the 2021 Easter holiday season. In addition, Minika Çoçuk, the free-to-air channel owned by Turkuvaz Media Group, will launch the animated show in Turkey in May 2021.
Mondo TV also announced that Menart will manage media distribution for the series in the former Yugoslavia, and Branding Streams will oversee media rights in North America.
MeteoHeroes has recently launched on the Italian-speaking channel RSI La 1 in Switzerland. The series will also roll out in the Baltic states on TV3.
Matteo Corradi, CEO of Mondo TV, said, “MeteoHeroes is already making a strong showing in the Italian market and we’re not surprised that its universally relevant theme of making our planet sustainable, combined with its humor and thrilling storylines, great and diverse characters, and a line-up that promotes gender equality, has attracted so much interest internationally. Canal+, Minika Cocuk, TV3, Menart, and Branding Streams are all leaders in their fields, and we’re delighted to be partnering with them.”
