MIP Cancun Online+ expands its conference programming lineup with executives from Amazon, Disney+, and Netflix.

The seventh edition of MIP Cancun will feature two conference sessions with Amazon executives. Javiera Balmaceda, head of Originals Latin America at Amazon Studios, and Armando Bo, showrunner at About Entertainment, will discuss how Amazon encourages creative freedom in “Amazon Originals: From Small Local Story To Global Hit: Amazon Original El Presidente.” Additionally, Pablo Iacoviello, director of Content Acquisition at Amazon Prime Video Latam, will participate in the keynote conversation “Amazon Prime: Expanding The Streamer’s Experience In Latin America.”

The international television market and conference for the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets will also present the Disney+ panel “Regional Branded and non-branded Content Objectives.” Panelists include: Leonardo Aranguibel, head of Production Operations & Strategy at The Walt Disney Company Latin America; Cecilia Mendonca, head of Content Development for Kids, Young Adults & Family at The Walt Disney Company Latin America; and Fernando Semenzato, head of Development & Production for National Geographic Latin America, The Walt Disney Company Latin America.

Lastly, Netflix’s Francisco Ramos will take part in a fireside chat with producers of the Netflix’s Selena biopic in “Selena: The Series & The Power of Representation.”

MIP Cancun Online+ will take place online from November 17-20, 2020.
