Film1, part of SPI International since 2019, announced that its on-demand movie catalog and channels will launch on Amazon’s Prime Video Channels in the Netherlands.
Prime subscribers will have access to the Film1 package, which includes a selection of Hollywood blockbusters, popular movies, and favorite evergreens, as well as Film1 Premium, Film1 Drama, and Film1 Family. At launch, the selection of movies includes Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite, the Aretha Franklin documentary Amazing Grace, Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, and new drama Bombshell, which will be released on November 21, 2020.
Jeroen Bergman, managing director at Film1, said, “Film1 continues to strengthen its presence in both the pay TV and streaming services markets in the Netherlands. With consumer habits changing more rapidly than ever, we are exploring versatile opportunities to make the Film1 brand more accessible to Dutch audiences.”
