Nickelodeon Latin America teamed up with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) on the environmentally focused Planeta Bala.
Created and produced by ViacomCBS Digital Studios International (VDSI) Americas, the original digital format show will address climate change, the protection of land and water, and the building of healthy cities, among other topics.
Hosted by singer-songwriter and digital media star Bala, Planeta Bala premiered yesterday, November 4, 2020. Bala will look at ways to protect our planet and explore what actions can be done at home. Through their partnership, Nickelodeon and VDSI Americas will collaborate with TNC to develop the show’s themes and provide research and educational resources.
Tatiana Rodriguez, SVP and brand head of Kids & Families for Nickelodeon Latin America, said, “By way of this partnership with the The Nature Conservancy for Planeta Bala, we aim to reach and empower kids about environmental issues and give them a better understanding of the importance of protecting our planet with relevant facts. Bala has been advocating for the environment for quite some time, so this show is the perfect platform for her to highlight easy daily activities that can make a difference in protecting our environment.”
