Netflix announced a new preschool series, Ada Twist, Scientist, from Chrss Nee and Higher Ground Productions.
Based on the book series by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts, the animated series follows Ada Twist, a young Black scientist who helps people through scientific discovery and friendship.
Ada Twist, Scientist is produced in partnership with Higher Ground Productions, the banner founded by former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. The series is also the first announced from the overall deal with Peabody and Chris Nee through her production company, Laughing Wild. With Kerri Grant as showrunner, the series will debut in 2021.
