ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Oficina Burman, part of The Mediapro Studio, confirmed production on a new season of Pequeña Victoria in a series format spin-off.
Originally created by Erika Halvorsen and Daniel Burman, the series explored topics such as embracing surrogacy, the constructs of motherhood and fatherhood, feminism, gender identity, and love in all its forms. The new season will feature screenwriter and director Juan Taratuto as showrunner and head writer. Taratuto will also direct several episodes.
In 2021, Pequeña Victoria will be available on Amazon Prime Video in Latin America and Telefe in Argentina. The first season is currently available on Amazon Prime in both Latin America and the U.S.
The first season of Pequeña Victoria was recently nominated for an International Emmy in the Best Telenovela category.
