Drive will distribute the new competition series The Chop.

Produced by Big Wheel Film & Television with Motion Content Group for Sky History in the U.K., The Chop features 10 carpenters who compete to be named “Britain’s Top Woodworker” and win the chance to show their own exhibition at William Morris Gallery. The contestants are tasked with constructing items with different historical themes while overseen by master craftsman William Hardie. Hosted by Lee Mack and Rick Edwards, The Chop will premiere on Sky History on October 15, 2020.

Drive will also be distributing the BBC2 series Pub Rescue with Tom Kerridge from Bone Soup Productions and the HGTV series Cash in the Spare Room from Friel Kean Films.

Lilla Hurst, co-managing director at Drive, commented, “As audience tastes have moved further towards genres such as craft and home improvement due to COVID, we’re delighted to be offering The Chop and other high-quality factual entertainment formats that speak to this shift and to buyers worldwide. And in Pub Rescue with Tom Kerridge, witness how businesses are fighting to survive in such a challenging time.”
