Tubi will be adding two projects from filmmaker Robert Rodriguez to its streaming content library.

Based on Rodriguez’s experiences in a medical research facility, Red 11 takes place in the twisted world of legal drug research. College kid Rob turns to the research facility in order to get himself out of debt, but he’s not sure if he’s experiencing side effects from treatment or if the hospital is trying to kill him. The Robert Rodriguez Film School is a docu-series companion piece to the feature. Filmmakers and entrepreneurs speak to overcoming the limitations of budget and other variables in the process.

Adam Lewinson, chief content officer at Tubi, said, “Red 11 and the story of how Robert made this movie is inspirational to up-and-coming filmmakers. We are thrilled to amplify Robert’s message to the next generation of filmmakers as a part of our commitment to helping independent films find a wide audience.”
