Cartel Entertainment optioned the rights to the young adult novel The Distance From Me to You by Marina Gessner.

Published by Penguin Books, The Distance From Me to You is a feminist coming-of-age tale revolving around a unexpected romance set in the Appalachian Trail. Alongside Danielle Fishel, Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, and Drew Brown for Cartel will executive produce the upcoming film project.

Actress and singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter (pictured) is attached to produce and star.
