Poorhouse International is representing a new documentary on the history of tap dancing.

Directed by Mark Wilkinson, American Tap showcases past and present practitioners, including the Nicholas Brothers, Ginger Rogers, Vera Ellen, and Eleanor Powell, among others. Notable dancers and choreographers give their expert perspective to provide historical context, tracking the roots of tap dance across Irish step dance and African drum circles.
