Season two of the CBC drama series Burden of Truth has begun filming in Winnipeg. Season one of the series, which stars Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), followed a big-city lawyer as she fought for justice and became the target of a killer.
The first season, which was produced by ICF Films, Entertainment One (eOne), and Eagle Vision, will premiere in the U.S. on July 25 on the CW. It’s also produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund and Manitoba Film and Music, and with the assistance of the Government of Manitoba — Manitoba Film & Video Production Tax Credit, the Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit, and the Canadian Film or Video Tax Credit. eOne holds worldwide distribution rights to the series.
