BBC is introducing a new weekly TV program titled What’s New?, which will launch on June 23, 2018.
Targeted for a young teenage audience, the program offers engaging and entertaining content to keep viewers informed on current events in the world. Each episode features three segments: the week’s headlines, a celebrity interview, and “My Story,” which offers young people the outlet to tell their own stories.
Nisha Kapur, BBC commissioning editor, commented, “What’s New? is for and about young people across Africa. It gives them the chance to find out more about the world in a fresh and energetic way. “
