RTÉ appointed Shane Murphy (pictured) to group head of Drama and Comedy. Previously, Murphy served as managing director of Acorn Media Enterprises since 2015.
In his new position, Murphy will oversee the development and delivery of drama and scripted comedy projects across RTÉ’s platforms. His role will be effective beginning in August.
Gaumont announced new appointments in its Animation & Family division. Terry Kalagian was promoted to SVP, Creative Development. Kalagian, alongside Nicolas Atlan and Gaelle Guiny, has been crucial to bringing on new projects for development, including
Touch the Earth,
Molly and the Cryptos, and
The Star Shard Chronicles, among others.
In addition, Kimberly Dennison was brought on to fill the newly created role of VP, Creative Development. Before joining Gaumont, Dennison served as director, Development, at Walt Disney TV Animation.
