Netflix signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Telefónica.
As part of the agreement, Netflix customers in Latin American countries where Telefónica operates will be able to access Netflix through Telefónica’s pay TV and video platforms. The range of options vary according to each market. Services include integrating the Netflix app into pay-TV set-top boxes and enabling customers to pay their Netflix subscription through their Telefónica bill, among other services.
The first rollout will begin in several countries to be announced in the coming weeks, with further launches scheduled throughout Latin America in 2018.
