DISCOP Zanzibar will be backed by Next Gen, its knowledge-transfer and develop program that will run concurrent with the 3-day market from July 11-13, 2018. The Next Gen program will include three tracks for attending delegates. Organized with Screen Africa, DISCOPRO will center on international distribution opportunities for entertainment producers in Africa. DISCORE, organized in partnership with ONGEA Africa, will offer instruction on the production of original music that accompanies music, film and television entertainment. Meanwhile, DISCOMICS, organized in partnership with the African Animation Network, focuses on animated content, from comics to video games. The inaugural edition of DISCOP Zanzibar will also feature the Zanzibar TV Series Festival and the Women of Influencing Evening Conversation program.
