Paramount Television tapped Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev to develop a dramatic thriller, which is at the moment untitled. Based on an original idea by Zvyagintsev and Oleg Negin, the Russian-language dramatic thriller is set in contemporary Moscow. Zvyagintsev and Alexander Rodnyansky will serve as executive producers. Paramount TV president Amy Powell said, “Zvyagintsev is behind some of the most powerful, cinematic storytelling for Russian audiences today and we are excited to team up with him for his first television series.” Zvyagintsev’s latest film, Loveless, is nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
