Banijay Group announced that it will increase its shareholding in the Cologne-based production company Brainpool. The augmented stake works in part of the company’s initiative to continue investing in German TV businesses. Banijay Group bought a 50 percent stake in Brainpool in 2009. After the transaction, Banijay Group will be the leading shareholding in the German production company. Brainpool’s slate of titles includes TV Total, Beat Your Host and Celebrity School, among others.
