Co-produced by Bavaria Fiction, Sky Deutschland and Sonar Entertainment, the new event series Das Boothas finished wrapping its final scenes. Inspired by Lothar-Günther Buchheim’s novel and the film directed by Wolfgang Peterson, the series, set during World War II, tells the story of the U-612’s maiden voyage in 1942 in occupied France. Das Boot will premiere on Sky territories in Germany, Austria, Italy, Ireland and the U.K. by the end of 2018. Sonar will handle international distribution for the rest of the world.
