DISCOP Zanzibar and the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) partnered to bring a new festival program focused on TV content. The Zanzibar TV Series Festival will run with its first edition from July 11-13, 2018, concurrent with both DISCOP Zanzibar and ZIFF. Submissions for the festival will be accepted until March 15. In addition, ZIFF will be offering two new awards during its 21st edition, Best TV series and Best Web Series. Open to the public, the Zanzibar TV Series Festival will showcase a wide range of genres and series.
