Telefónica announced that it will launch the Movistar Series channel in Latin America. The new channel will be available in Chile, Colombia and Peru beginning February 15, 2018. In the following months, the Movistar channel will become available in Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Uruguay. In 2018, the Movistar Series channel will debut 12 original series. The first Movistar+ original series to premiere on the channel will be The Plague.
