Reel One Entertainment acquired the screen rights for Philip K. Dick’s novella Second Variety. David Titcher is attached as showrunner. The novella tells the story of war and technology in a time when the U.S. is developing military weaponry with artificial intelligence that become difficult to control. Second Variety was previously adapted into the 1995 film Screamers. Reel One will produce in collaboration with Charles W. Fries of Fries Film Company and Antony I. Ginnane.
