The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences appointed Andre Sampaio as a new ambassador to Portugal. Sampaio serves as marketing and media director at Sonae. Sampaio joins a group of six other ambassadors: Gai Dunlop for Australia, Sebastian Darcyl for Argentina, Leopold Hoesch for Germany, Roberta Durrant for South Africa, Steven Bawol for the United Kingdom, and Brian Seth Hurst as Global Digital ambassador. Ambassadors act as representatives for the Academy internationally to promote entries for the International Emmy Awards competition.
Nippon TV promoted Kako Kuwahara to managing director for the company’s International Business Development (IBD) division. Kuwahara moved to Nippon’s IBD in 2015 where she previously served as associate managing director. In her new role based in Tokyo, Kuwahara will oversee all areas of IBD.
