CTV and Super Écran, alongside Sienna Films and Entertainment One (eOne), have begun production for the second cycle of Cardinal. The series is based on the John Cardinal Mysteries written by Giles Blunt. Six episodes of the new cycle will be filmed in North Bay, Ontario, and Toronto. eOne has licensed the series internationally in France, Spain, and Scandinavia. The series will also debut in the U.K. on BBC June 3 and in the U.S. on Hulu June 16.
