The CW announced its new series today, with four dramas in total. Black Lightning revolves around DC Comics legend Jefferson Pierce, who’s hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, is pulled back in. Dynasty is a modernized reboot of the show that followed the Carringtons and the Colbys, two of the U.S.’s wealthiest families. Life Sentence is about a young woman who finds out she’s not dying after all and must live with the choices she’s made. And finally, Valor, takes place on a U.S. Army base that houses an elite unit of helicopter pilots.
