ABC‘s upfront isn’t until 4 p.m. EST today, but the network has already announced six dramas and three comedies. The dramas are The Crossing, in which refugees from a war 250 years in the future show up at an American town in the present day; Deception, about a disgraced superstar magician who moves on to the FBI; For the People, which follows brand-new lawyers working on opposite sides in high-profile cases; The Good Doctor, about a young, autistic doctor with savant syndrome; The Gospel of Kevin, about a down-on-his-luck man who tasked by God to save the world; and The Inhumans, a Marvel drama about a race of superhumans with unique powers. On the comedy side, ABC has picked up Splitting Up Together, about a couple that finds their marriage reignited by their divorce; The Mayor, about an outspoken, idealistic rapper runs for office as a publicity stunt but surprises everyone at how good he is; and Start Up, about an inquisitive journalist, husband and father who dives headfirst into becoming an entrepreneur.
