NBC announced its new series for the 2017-2018 season. NBC, which already had its event this morning, has ordered five scripted dramas and two comedies. The dramas are Brave, which follows an elite team of military heroes; Good Girls, about suburban women who choose to stop playing it safe; Law and Order: True Crime – The Menendez Brothers, an anthology series about two brothers who killed their parents; Reverie, about the aftermath of an advanced virtual reality program with dangerous and unintended consequences; and Rise, which revolves around a high school’s drama department and the students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man. For comedies, NBC’s got Champions, about a charismatic gym owner with no ambition who lives with his younger brother, a gorgeous idiot, and A.P. Bio, about a cynical Ivy League professor who loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher.
