Pinewood Television and SunnyMarch TV have been commissioned for The Child In Time, which will debut on BBC One. Co-produced by Masterpiece, the film is an adaptation by Stephen Butchard of Ian McEwan’s 1987 novel. The actor Benedict Cumberbatch will play Stephen Lewis, a children’s book author, who, along with his wife, experience the loss of a child. The Child In Time will be distributed by StudioCanal.
