The inaugural edition of DISCOP Dubai will kick off on January 29 with the following sessions: at 10:00AM “Global Dynamics of TV” will be presented by Jacques Balducci of Eurodata TV; at 10:30AM “How Do You Protect Your Formats and Why is This Business Crucial to Make Business on Them” will be presented by Jan Salling, co-chairman of FRAPA, who will also moderate the 11:00AM panel discussion “Could The Next Big Global Format Hit Come from the Mena Region? Why/Why Not?” At 12:30PM the panel discussion on “Format Broadcasters” will be followed by “The Importance of Premium Content and What has Powered the BBC’s Success Across the Middle East,” presented by Natasha Hussain of BBC Worldwide. Ending the day is the panel discussion on “Format Producers”.
