Xavier Marchand, The Mark Gordon Company and Entertainment One (eOne) have partnered with Marchand’s new U.K.-based film and television development and production outfit Moonriver Content (Moonriver). Under his new banner, Marchand will acquire, develop and produce film and television projects with a focus on British and European stories and talent. Marchand, who has been leading eOne’s feature film production unit, will step out of his eOne role to launch Moonriver, and will remain attached as a producer or executive producer on several film projects. Exposure will mark the first feature project under the new collaboration, with Niki Caro attached to direct the film. Exposure is about extraordinary scientist Rosalind Franklin who was instrumental in the discovery of the DNA and never got the recognition she deserved.
