Jamila Hunter has been named senior vice president of Comedy at ABC. In her new position, Hunter (formerly vice president of Comedy) will manage the network’s comedy department, heading development and production of all comedy pilots. Hunter is succeeding Samie Falvey, who left ABC in August to head content for AwesomenessTV. Hunter joined ABC from OWN as vp Comedy in 2011, and has worked on projects such as black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat and The Real O’Neals.
