Paris-based festival Series Mania has renewed its partnership with Scripted, the first North American conference and market dedicated to the business of scripted entertainment. The event, which will include keynote conversations with mega-producer Greg Berlanti, Robert and Michelle King, the creators of The Good Wife and BrainDead, and FX Networks’ president of original programming, Eric Schrier. In other Series Mania news, the festival is teaming with the Torino Film Lab to kick off SeriesLab, a new training program for TV writing, opened to international writers and creators who wish to be accompanied in the first phase of development of their series. Nine unpublished fiction projects, with at least six episodes, will be developed as part of a paying training program, from January to April 2017. Participants will attend three successive writing residences in Spain, Italy and France. Results will be presented in April 2017 during Series Mania.
