European producer and distributor Mondo TV will launch a new production studio in Santa Cruz de Tenerife through its subsidiary Mondo TV Iberoamerica. At a press conference on September 21, the company presented its new project and explained its international expansion plans. Cabildo de Tenerife, the governing body of the island, hosted the event. Mondo TV Producciones Canarias already has four illustrators on board. The company plans to expand Tenerife business into a pre-production hub for most of Mondo TV’s animated series and to create a small 3D studio and the production of the first youth fiction series made in the Canary Islands.
