Independent distributor all3media International has licensed its first scripted drama format commission in the CEE region, as Kiev-based FILM.UA picks up adaptation rights for drama series Step Dave. FILM.UA now has the rights to produce the one-hour drama format across the CIS territories, with one 16-episode version of the series produced for Russia’s Channel 1 to air in 2017. Additional format options have also been signed with Content Factory (Hungary), Merlin Productions (France and French-speaking territories) and Kapa Studios (Greece). Step Dave is a family drama that highlights the diversity of modern arrangements as Dave, a 24-year-old slacker, meets the girl of his dreams – and her three kids. The series was originally produced by all3media sister company South Pacific Pictures for TV2, New Zealand, where two seasons have aired.
