RVK Studios, Icelandic national broadcaster RUV and Dynamic Television have renewed Icelandic crime series Trapped for a second season, slated to premiere in fall 2018. Based on an original idea by Baltasar Kormakur, Trapped tells the story of a troubled cop investigating a murder when his small town is hit by a blizzard, trapping the villagers and most likely the killer in the town. Season two of the series will follow the same lead characters as they examine a different murder case. The series is filmed in Iceland by RVK Studios and is distributed by Dynamic Television. The series has been sold to BBC, ZDF, France Televisions, SVT, NRK and DR among others.
