Public service broadcaster VRT Belgium has picked up drama series Midnight Sun, The Five, and season three of Crossing Lines from STUDIOCANAL. Eight-part thriller Midnight Sun (pictured) will premiere at the beginning of 2017 on VRT on crime-centered network Canvas. The series delves into an investigation of a string of murders connected to the Sami, an ancient Scandinavian tribe and stars Leïla Bekhti (The Prophet) and Gustaf Hammarsten (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Harlan Coben’s The Five, an original 10-part drama thriller series for television, is produced by RED Production Company. Starring Goran Visnjic (ER), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games), and Tom Wlaschiha (Game of Thrones), Crossing Lines season three is a crime drama series produced by Tandem Productions that addresses internationally relevant and contemporary storylines of cross border crime.
