TV5MONDE USA, the only fulltime French-language entertainment channel in the U.S., has expanded its VOD deal with Verizon Fios. TV5MONDE Cinema On Demand is now available in 13 Verizon systems around the country, to customers who are subscribers of TV5MONDE USA’s linear channel. The channel offers around 15 films a month from French-language cinema production and distribution companies as TF1 International, Films Distribution, Pathé, Le Pacte, BAC Films, Pyramide, Le Petit Bureau, Celluloïd Dreams and Les Films du Losange. This month, films include Libre Et Assoupi, Je Fais Le Mort, La Cage Dorée, among others. In other TV5MONDE news, the network has picked up Armoza Formats’ dramedy Karl & Max. The series will air on TV5MONDE’s 11 channels across 200 countries next spring. Karl & Max follows two ordinary guys on a fishing trip who discover a bag with a gun and millions of dollars, forcing them into the world of organized crime.
