DIRECTV Latin America has picked up six-part crime series The Last Panthers. The series debuts this evening, and stars Samantha Morton (Minority Report), Tahar Rahim (A Prophet), Goran Bogdan (We Will Be The World Champions), and John Hurt (Midnight Express). STUDIOCANAL and Sky Vision handle joint distribution. The series was commissioned by Sky Atlantic and CANAL+, with Sundance TV. The Last Panthers opens with a diamond heist gone wrong, and explores a Europe gripped by new forms of crime, exploring the interplay between jewel and drug traffickers, European officials, war criminals and city bankers.
