Showtime has ordered a fifth season of crime drama series Ray Donovan, which chronicles the life of a “fixer” at a prestigious law firm. The announcement follows the series’ slew of Emmy nods for actors Live Schreiber, Jon Voight, Hank Azaria and executive producer and showrunner David Hollander. Production on season five will begin next year, and will keep its 9 p.m. slot. This season, Ray (played by Schreiber) will protect a pro boxer’s dangerous secret and become ensnared in a Russian mob operation, while his father, (Voight) turns himself in after running a scam goes awry.
